Your Opportunity:
As a key member of the Payroll Operations team, the Admin Support V serves as a subject matter expert in the administration and reconciliation of Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) matters. This role operates with a high degree of independence and provides comprehensive guidance, analysis, and investigative problem‑solving support related to workplace injury and WCB pay processes. The position works closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including HR colleagues, leaders, employees, and third‑party providers.The role requires in‑depth knowledge of collective agreement language, employment standards, and payroll‑related legislation, as well as the ability to accurately interpret and apply complex pay rules across multiple employee groups and companies. Working independently within established policies, procedures, and guidelines, the incumbent manages complex or non‑routine issues arising from WCB payroll processing and the reconciliation of Wage Replacement Benefit payments. This position involves regular interaction with employees, managers, HR teams, and external partners to resolve payroll and WCB‑related issues. The ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision‑making is critical, as responsibilities may span payroll, accounting, and injury claims management. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly grasp and apply extensive knowledge of systems, programs, and processes to ensure accurate and timely WCB reconciliation. The successful candidate will be a critical and analytical thinker with a strong customer‑service focus, attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in continuous learning and growth within Payroll Operation.

Required Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education ( certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a unionized environment is preferred. Previous experience working with WCB claims is considered a strong asset.
