Job description
Join Smurfit Westrock in Ajax as a Summer Student in the Print Cut department. This role offers hands-on experience in packaging while developing valuable skills through teamwork and quality checks. Smurfit Westrock is seeking summer students for its Ajax facility, a major employer in the region. Candidates will stack cartons, assist with machine setup, and ensure quality standards are met. The role requires commitment to manual labor, teamwork, and a willingness to work rotating shifts including days and nights. Key Responsibilities: • Stack finished cartons onto skids efficiently • Perform quality checks on all products • Assist operators and printers with setup tasks • Maintain a clean and safe workspace • Communicate effectively with team members Requirements: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Enrolled in a post-secondary program by September 2026 • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs during tasks • Own a pair of safety shoes • Availability for 12-hour shifts including weekends Prepare to gain valuable experience while working for a leading sustainable packaging company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
