Manpower has a fantastic opportunity for Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technologist Summer Student to fulfill a 4-month located in Stayner, ON. Get ready to partner your skills with a global cannabinoid company, committed to advancing cannabis research, technology and product development.
As a Summer Engineering student you will support the Process Engineers when launching new automated equipment, support operations through simple CI initiatives, and help document and train for new & improved processes.
This job offers:
- Day Shift (7:30am – 4:00pm) Mon – Fri
- 40 hours per week
- $25.00/hour starting wage
- 4-month summer contract
- Collaborate with top industry professionals
Duties:
- Work with Process Engineers on the shop floor to collect and analyze data for process improvement
- Assist Process Engineers with Project implementation and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Assist Process Engineers to accelerate or mitigate any challenges that arise in operations
- Develop various technical documents such as Work Instructions and Procedures in conjunction with the Process Engineers and our Technical Writing team
- Provide hands-on support in a production environment to non-technical employees.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment 1st, 2nd or 3rd year student (NOT graduate) from a Mechanical or Engineering Technologist program
- Own transportation and driver’s license (preferred)
- Must be on a scheduled summer break and returning September 2026 studies
- Practical attitude and ability to learn new tasks
- Excellent PC skills
- Basic understanding of automated manufacturing principles and techniques
- Strong awareness of safety
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to clear criminal records check
