Our team is growing, and we are now looking for a permanent full-time Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in our Guelph office! This is a brand new role for our team, and we are very excited to bring the right person on board!
The hourly compensation range for this position is $25.00 to $27.00, based on experience, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Maintenance Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of our maintenance program. Working alongside experienced operations staff, this role assists in scheduling and tracking maintenance activities, helps manage customer assets, and ensures field teams have the parts and resources they need on site. It is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a structured and collaborative environment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage the maintenance program from end to end: building the schedule, keeping it on track, and ensuring routine tasks are completed on time.
- Develop and maintain asset management records for client-owned equipment.
- Coordinate daily with the Manager of Operations to align priorities and execution.
- Review equipment manuals and customize maintenance manuals to reflect site-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project Logistics Specialist to procure spare parts and consumables; manage on-site inventory to ensure field teams have what they require to complete the maintenance program.
- Prepare procurement estimates and support budgeting for maintenance activities.
- Integrate seamlessly into ongoing operational workflows and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify gaps in the maintenance program and proactively drive continuous improvement.
- Provide coverage during planned and unplanned absences of the Service Administrator, including participation in an On-Call rotation outside of regular hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary engineering technologist or applied science diploma/degree program.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.
- At least one to two years of relevant experience in maintenance coordination, facilities, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Water Resources Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Environmental Protection Act, Health Protection and Promotion Act, and associated regulations is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software or scheduling tools is an asset.
- Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of equipment maintenance principles.
- Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; comfortable working across teams.
- Ability to work efficiently with extremely high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy working with numbers and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce various professional written documents.
- Confidence in asking questions and clarification on tasks assigned.
- A desire to learn and take initiative to always improve.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and diligently with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Positive, responsible, and self-motivated with demonstrated organizational skills.
