Our Edmonton client is seeking a skilled Automated Application Tester for an initial long-term contract to support the redevelopment of a high-profile K-12 learning platform. Responsibilities• Develop and execute automated test scripts for web-based and cloud applications within an agile framework.
• Review business requirements and user stories to clarify testing conditions and eliminate ambiguity.
• Identify, document, and track software bugs and usability issues through to resolution.
• Manage bug lists and backlogs to ensure accurate reporting of priority, status, and severity.
• Create comprehensive test plans and coordinate test case execution across different testing phases.
• Plan and lead user acceptance testing while gathering and managing necessary test data.
• Report on test results, metrics, and statistics to evaluate the success of each test cycle.
Qualifications• Minimum of five years of experience providing dedicated application testing services for web-based software projects since 2019.
• At least one year of experience writing and executing automated UI and API tests.
• Proven experience executing tests across multiple phases including system, integration, regression, and UAT.
• Expertise in cross-platform testing across major browsers, mobile devices, and accessibility compliance.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests using modern tools such as BrowserStack.
