Description / Responsibilities / Skills
Responsibilities
Creates physical database designs and operates and administers the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery.

Experience with query languages and information retrieval tools
Experience monitoring and enforcing database rules
Experience with Incident, Change and Configuration Management
Experience with communications protocols
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with distributed data systems
Experience with middleware and gateways

Oracle Enterprise Manager
UNIX shell scripting
SQL performance tuning
MS SQL Server administration
