Job description
We are seeking a Senior SAP HANA Database Administrator with over a decade of specialized experience to join our enterprise infrastructure team in downtown Brampton. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority for the management, optimization, and transformation of our SAP HANA ecosystem. You will lead critical S/4HANA migrations, complex database upgrades, and disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate is a certified professional who combines deep database expertise with a strong background in Linux administration and infrastructure design to ensure high availability and peak performance of mission-critical systems.

Assignment Type: Hybrid (3 to 4 days onsite per week)
1-month contrac
Rate: $63.89-$79.86/hr

Responsibilities
Database Lifecycle Management: Lead SAP HANA upgrades, migrations (including S/4HANA transitions), and system refreshes across complex environments.

Monitoring & Administration: Provide hands-on administration using HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio, and specialized DB monitoring tools to ensure system health.

High Availability & DR: Design, implement, and manage SAP HANA System Replication (HSR) and comprehensive Disaster Recovery solutions.

Performance Engineering: Conduct advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve bottlenecks and optimize query execution.

Data Integration: Manage and support SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) replication to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Infrastructure Coordination: Manage the Linux/Unix underlying systems for HANA; collaborate on networking, storage, and backup/recovery strategies.

Architecture & Design: Apply infrastructure design principles to support large-scale SAP implementation and transformation projects.

Qualifications
Core Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA DBA.

Certification: SAP HANA Administrator Certification is mandatory.

Migration Expertise: Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations, including migration methodologies and post-migration optimization.

Tooling Proficiency: Deep expertise in HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio, and SLT replication.

Technical Breadth: Strong background in Linux and Unix administration specifically tailored for HANA workloads.

Systems Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking, storage architectures, and backup/recovery solutions.

Implementation History: At least 2 years of experience focused on SAP implementation, transformation, or high-level infrastructure design.
