- 5–8+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace domain, focusing on system software design and development
- Strong knowledge of software development processes, requirements definition, and software verification
- Experience with Scrum/Agile software development methodology

- Proficiency with JIRA, TFS, and GitHub for configuration management and version control
- Bilingual in English and French
Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, QC. This role is 5x week onsite. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software application development and will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of ground station processing center applications for engines equipped with data acquisition and transmission systems.
In this role, you will lead an Agile software development team across the full lifecycle—concept, requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, verification, validation, and maintenance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, software developers, IT, operators, OEMs, and engineers, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional Agile team in the development of flight data processing applications, applying software engineering best practices, including coordination with offshore teams
- Define and manage Ground Station software and infrastructure requirements
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, enforce GitHub governance, and manage sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Define verification procedures and automated test cases to ensure seamless production deployment
- Collaborate with P&WC IT to integrate and deploy applications within the DPHM Ground Station architecture
- Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to track program updates and project milestones
- Provide technical support to operators and aircraft OEMs as needed
