Job description
Take command of a high-velocity dock where your technical precision is the final word on road safety and delivery success. Join a top-tier transportation leader in SE Calgary and transition from a pallet mover to a strategic operator who dictates the rhythm of the regional supply chain.

Your Impact
Orchestrate freight velocity by executing the rapid, precision loading and unloading of LTL trailers using a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift to meet demanding departure windows.

Master weight logistics by calculating and managing optimal load distribution, ensuring every trailer meets rigorous safety and transport efficiency standards.

Drive data precision by maintaining 100% inventory accuracy, meticulously tracking every freight movement via handheld scanning technology.

Lead independent operations as the primary guardian of site safety protocols, commanding the dock with total autonomy and high-speed throughput.

Optimize your workflow by owning the Monday–Friday (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) shift, bypassing peak traffic while securing your weekends for yourself.

Who You Are
LTL Specialist: You bring deep experience in the Less-Than-Truckload sector and thrive on the "puzzle-solving" nature of complex freight loading.

Skilled Operator: You are a technical master of the Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift, comfortable maneuvering in high-volume, fast-paced environments.

Independent Decision-Maker: You excel when given the keys to the dock, capable of managing complex workflows and safety standards without constant supervision.

Tech-Savvy Logistics Pro: You are proficient with scanning systems and recognize the critical role of real-time data in modern supply chain success.

Strategic Thinker: You look beyond the pallet, analyzing weight, balance, and load integrity to ensure every shipment is road-ready and secure.

Advantages
$22.00 – $23.00 per hour with consistent weekly pay
Thorough afternoon training provided to ensure you are set up for success.
Convenient Southeast Calgary location with free on-site parking
Opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-impact cross-dock environment.
Stable, long-term opportunity with Randstad's growing team.

Responsibilities
Safely operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift to move LTL freight across the dock.
Load and unload various types of trailers, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
Work independently to prioritize shipments based on departure times.
Scan and track freight using handheld devices to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
Identify and report any damaged goods before they are loaded for transport.
Maintain a clean and organized dock floor to ensure a safe transition for the morning crew

Qualifications
Valid Forklift Ticket/Certification (Required).
Must be available for afternoon training before moving to the regular night shift.
1–2 years of experience operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift.
Previous experience with LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight is a major asset.
Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots and high-visibility gear.

Summary
