Job descriptionTitle: System Coordinator - Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice Start Date: August 2026 Position Type: Permanent Position Open To: All applicants Posting Overview: The Lambton Kent District School Board is looking for a proven administrator who, as System Coordinator of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice, will provide system-wide leadership to foster an inclusive, diverse and anti-oppressive culture throughout the Board. This will include providing strategic leadership in developing and implementing the Board Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plan, while supervising the Elementary and Secondary Inclusive Diversity Consultants and Secondary Special Projects Teacher - Indigenous Education, as well as supporting and mentoring school administrators.Reporting to the Superintendent of Education with responsibility for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice, the System Coordinator will contribute to supporting and promoting human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion in the Board’s schools and workplaces, with a commitment to fulfilling the LKDSB Strategic Priorities and Operational Plan, and assisting in monitoring the expected outcomes. This role will work closely with other System Coordinators and with a variety of education stakeholders, liaise with community partners and other departments within the LKDSB, and assist in developing strong partnerships in the areas of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.The Coordinator will provide leadership in the implementation, integration and monitoring of inclusive diversity and anti-oppression education throughout the Ontario Curriculum, Grades 1 – 12, Kindergarten Program, Growing Success, Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting in Ontario Schools, and all supporting documents. They will assist with the Board Equity and Improvement Plan, in school improvement planning, and with data management and collection, and student achievement analysis. This role will be responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and timely reporting of Ministry and LKDSB initiatives, co-leading the Board’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, providing support to school-based Equity Leads, and coordinating the lead on the Teacher Performance Appraisals for Inclusive Diversity Consultants. They will also be expected to coordinate special projects, including hiring of personnel, along with professional development opportunities. Qualifications/Experience: • Principals' qualifications according to Regulation 297 of the Education Act required;• Lived experience as a member of an equity-deserving group is an asset;• Academic background in human rights, law, social justice, or a related discipline is an asset;• Minimum of five years of experience as an Administrator is required.Other Key Skills & Knowledge: • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create human rights-related policies and procedures;• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and dispute resolution skills;• Demonstrated judgement, sensitivity, and inclusive approach to building consensus and problem solving;• Intercultural competence and commitment to supporting employee development.Position Effective Date & Length: Home location to be determined.This position is effective August 2026 for a three-year term pending annual budget approval.
