Unit Summary
Peri-Operative and Endoscopy Services at the Juravinski, Hamilton General, McMaster and West Lincoln sites of the Hamilton Health Sciences provides pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care for both adults and children.
Position Summary
The Perioperative Wait Times Care Coordinator develops, maintains, monitors and manages surgical wait lists, optimizing the use of program-dedicated surgical resources. The Coordinator will acquire and interpret patient care data in order to triage patients and facilitate the provision of surgical care. The Perioperative Wait Times Care Coordinator works collaboratively with internal and external partners within surgical services to ensure timely access to care. The Perioperative Wait Times Care Coordinator will also deliver weekly/monthly/ad hoc surgical activity statistical reports to the institution.

Monday to Friday - Days
This position is temporary until May 2027
Qualifications
1) Undergraduate Degree - Regulated Healthcare Professional
2) 2 years experience in surgical or procedural care
3) 1 year experience with statistical analysis
4) 1 year experience in data management
5) High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
6) High level of critical thinking and time management skills
