Job description
Maintenance Planner position for our PPTC assets across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The role is based in Regina and requires collaboration with Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams. Reporting to the Team Lead, Maintenance, the planner will manage short- and long-term maintenance scheduling, including regular maintenance, asset integrity, capital projects, and major maintenance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop work plans, assemble work packages, and complete procurement in accordance with scope, manpower, equipment, and outside service requirements.

Ensure compliance with the Work Execution Management Process (WEMP), Management of Change (MOC), and site‑specific standards.

Coordinate work review meetings and manage priorities of work requests to support schedules and assure completion of safety‑critical and regulatory work.

Review and evaluate OEM recommendations, historical records, job plan library, industry best practices, blueprints, schematics, and control/process documentation (e.g., piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams) to synthesize and integrate into work plans.

Develop and maintain the job plan library.

Cover for schedulers and supervisors and execute emergency response procedures as required.

Assist with monitoring and tracking of maintenance KPIs, coordinating stakeholders to take action when KPIs deviate from target ranges.

Build and maintain good working relationships with contractors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

Create, communicate, and revise maintenance schedules (1‑week frozen, 6‑week schedule, 52‑week outlook) based on work priorities, production volumes, and resource availability.

Monitor the maintenance backlog and propose when to bring work into the schedule(s) following manager instructions.

Review 90‑day plans in relation to equipment stoppages, outages, and shutdowns.

Coordinate schedule cycle meetings and integrate planned work into the master schedule(s) to optimize execution and ensure completion of safety‑critical and regulatory work.

Monitor work execution constraints, available work‑centre capacities, and campaign periods; highlight constraints and assist with mitigation.

Adjust specialist service periods and propose changes to trade mix to match estimated work.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience performing preventive maintenance in an industrial setting (preferred).

3+ years in a planning role.

Shutdown / turnaround experience an asset.

Knowledge of Maximo, Prometheus, or another CMMS with a background in reliability‑centered maintenance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Goal‑oriented self‑starter with excellent time management and communication skills.

Capable of leading by example and positively influencing diverse individuals in a fast‑paced field environment.

Demonstrated ability to maintain productive interpersonal interactions under all circumstances.

Permanent residence within 100 km of Regina.

Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks.

Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
