Equinix’s Internal Audit department, known as Business Assurance Services (BAS), enhances and protects organizational value by providing risk‑based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. We are looking for a Senior Analyst of Financial Assurance & Compliance to assist in the Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance program management, perform additional risk‑based financial and operational audit and advisory activities, advise on internal controls design, and provide independent assurance to management. Responsibilities
Assist with continuous improvement efforts to drive effectiveness and efficiency in the SOX compliance program, ensuring a risk‑based approach aligned with SEC and PCAOB standards. Perform risk‑based financial or operational audit and advisory activities beyond SOX to assess and provide assurance over the wider risk universe. Support SOX compliance efforts, including scoping, planning, evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting, walkthroughs, risk matrix updates, testing, and periodic SOX certification. Coordinate with external auditors, prepare Summary of Aggregated Deficiencies (SAD), evaluate key initiatives affecting ICFR, and deliver SOX training. Manage outside consulting resources on select engagements. Become a trusted business advisor by developing relationships and providing value‑add assurance and advice on governance, risk, compliance, and control improvement. Communicate findings and recommendations to employees at all levels, monitor remediation, and advise on control requirements and improvements. Create a collaborative work environment and monitor adherence to project timelines and departmental budget. Qualifications
Strong SOX experience and audit, accounting, financial process, risk, and control knowledge. Ability to work in a fast‑moving, global, complex environment and adapt to independent or collaborative roles. Team player focused on cohesion, relationship building across geographies and cross‑functions, and willingness to lead or participate in projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional influence, trust, and credibility. Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly evaluate issues, determine root causes, and solve complex problems. Commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Self‑motivated, flexible, proactive, rapid learner, and results‑oriented. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 10 %. Experience with Oracle Cloud, PBCS, Siebel CRM & UCM, Workday, SingleView, Salesforce.com, RevPro, Coupa, Power BI, Tableau (plus). Minimum 3 years of audit or SOX experience; Big 4 or multinational public company audit experience preferred. Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC Guidance, PCAOB standards, and COSO 2013. CPA required; additional certifications (CIA, CISA, CRMA, etc.) are a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree (MBA or MS) is a plus. Compensation
Targeted pay range for an equivalent full‑time position in Toronto, Canada: 81,000 – 121,000 CAD annually. Base pay covers only salary; bonuses, equity, and benefits may also be offered. Benefits
