Job description
Drive sustainable resource management at Yekooche First Nation in Prince George, BC. This full-time director role emphasizes strategic leadership and community collaboration in land use planning.

As the Director of Lands and Natural Resources, your role involves overseeing the stewardship of vital natural resources in accordance with community values. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will guide efforts in negotiating treaties and formulating policies that foster strong relationships with external stakeholders while ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations.

Key Responsibilities: • Implement strategic objectives that reflect community priorities • Advise leadership on land use and resource risks • Manage the referrals process and maintain records • Build partnerships with provincial and federal agencies • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team effectively

Requirements: • Relevant post-secondary degree is required • 5 to 10 years in resource management and leadership • Familiarity with Indigenous rights and governance • Proven experience in negotiation and consultation • Strong project management and financial skills
