A data strategist who understands the heartbeat of a media agency, responsible for leading the overall analytics function and bridging the gap between advanced data engineering (BigQuery, AI) and actionable media strategy.
Responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for data-driven decision-making, overseeing department growth through mentorship, championing AI agentic workflows, and partnering with Account Leads to pitch innovative analytics solutions that win new business.
Salary Transparency matters to us. Salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Formulate and articulate a clear vision for the data infrastructure and analytics department, aligning data strategies with business objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate analytics into core decision-making across all marketing channels.
Business Growth & Client Success
Lead business development with account leads, identifying client needs and pitching bespoke analytics solutions.
Architect custom analytics solutions that go beyond standard reporting to deliver true business intelligence.
Data Architecture & AI Innovation
Own the GCP ecosystem: design, maintain, and scale a robust data warehouse environment within Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery architecture.
Lead integration of structured and unstructured data, ensuring a single source of truth for media and client performance data.
Define and enforce database design standards, governance protocols, and schema evolution.
Drive AI innovation, developing and optimizing AI agentic workflows (e.g., Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI).
Define KPI frameworks and measurement plans for multi-channel campaigns, ensuring data integrity across pixel implementation, tag management, and web/app tracking.
Adopt advanced measurement strategies such as Media Mix Modeling, incremental lift studies, and robust Test & Learn frameworks.
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within a media agency.
Proven track record managing and mentoring analytics teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of media tracking ecosystems (GMP, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, DSPs, etc.).
Advanced proficiency in SQL, data workflows, and BigQuery.
Deep understanding of tag management (GTM, Adobe Launch) and web analytics (GA4, Adobe Analytics).
Expert-level skills in data visualization dashboards (Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI).
Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills to translate technical complexity into business value.
Preferred Assets
Hands‑on GCP Vertex AI experience and building AI chatbots or agents.
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for media tracking automation.
Proficiency in Python for statistical modeling and advanced measurement.
