Must Haves

Description The Project Control Officer will support delivery of complex initiatives using both traditional waterfall and agile project methodologies. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining governance artefacts, supporting multiple releases, and enabling delivery across technology, product, and business process workstreams.
The Project Control Officer will provide day‑to‑day project support for the Unified Provider Platform (UPP) and HALO projects, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and communication across stakeholders.
The role requires strong project management fundamentals, working knowledge of agile delivery, and hands‑on experience with Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office tools.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and support assigned projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
Track and report on project progress, milestones, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies
Prepare, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, release plans, and roadmaps
Support preparation of governance materials, approvals, briefing notes, and decision records
Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder participation
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, materials, and pre‑reads
Capture and distribute meeting minutes and notes, including decisions, risks, issues, and action items
Track and follow up on meeting action items and commitments to ensure timely closure
Assist project managers and product owners with release planning and delivery coordination
Act as a central point of coordination between delivery teams, product teams, and business stakeholders
Support change management and communication activities related to project delivery
Support coordination across related products and business process initiatives
Desired Skills
Experience supporting large, complex digital or platform transformation initiatives
Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery models
Exposure to enterprise governance models and stage‑gate approvals
Experience supporting healthcare, public sector, or large enterprise environments
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Experience working with cross‑functional teams (technology, product, business, vendors)
Required Skills
Project coordination experience in waterfall and agile environments
Strong working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Understanding of project governance, reporting, and controls
Experience preparing and maintaining project artefacts and documentation
Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration skills
Ability to support multiple workstreams and releases concurrently

Preparation and coordination of governance submissions, decks, and approval materials
Additional Terms The term of this Engagement Assignment is for 230 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 254 days at the Agency’s discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at the Agency’s discretion.
The resource will comply with Agency policies and procedures.
Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Agency assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from the Agency.
Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid". The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.
Location: Up to 5 days onsite (subject to HM’s discretion).
