The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining learning materials that support effective use of the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) across Environment and Protected Areas (EPA). This role focuses on identifying performance gaps, translating system and business process requirements into practical training tools, and supporting the delivery of structured virtual training to EPA staff to ensure consistent, confident, and efficient use of DRAS.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clear, practical learning materials to support DRAS use, including job aids, guides, presentations, and scenario based learning resources.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, system leads, and business areas to ensure training content accurately reflects DRAS functionality, regulatory business processes, and user responsibilities.
- Identify gaps in user knowledge, performance, or consistency through feedback, observations, and data, and recommend targeted training or learning interventions to address those gaps.
- Support the design and development of formal virtual training sessions, including course outlines, slide decks, exercises, and supporting materials for EPA staff.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of virtual training sessions, including facilitation support, participant guidance, and post training follow up activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DRAS training by incorporating user feedback, system changes, and evolving business needs into learning products.
- Organize and manage training materials within established repositories to ensure content is current, accessible, and easy to navigate.
- Support alignment of training materials with broader Regulatory Assurance training strategies and standards within EPA.
