Job descriptionJOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner to support our Maintenance Supervisor in optimizing workforce efficiency and material planning. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing work orders within JD Edwards (E1), and ensuring alignment between maintenance and production schedules. This position plays a critical role in driving reliability, safety, and operational excellence by ensuring maintenance work is properly planned, resourced, and executed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and schedule maintenance activities to ensure efficient execution.
Manage work orders in JD Edwards (E1), including tracking, updates, and backlog management.
Coordinate material ordering, receipt, and inventory to align with maintenance plans.
Work with Production to schedule equipment downtime effectively.
Prioritize work orders based on operational criticality.
Maintain a 4-week lookahead maintenance plan.
Review and improve preventative maintenance programs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate subcontractors and assist with invoice reconciliation.
Conduct field checks to validate plans and ensure alignment with operational needs.
Ensure all planned work meets safety standards and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Trade or technologist certification (e.g., Industrial Electrician, Industrial or Heavy Duty Mechanic, Instrumentation Technician).
Experience with a CMMS (JD Edwards preferred).
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, email).
Strong troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.
Maintenance planning/scheduling experience.
Experience with condition monitoring, testing, or technical certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Planner).
Exposure to power generation, HVAC, or industrial equipment systems.
