HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Operations to support the execution and implementation of product changes into production.
In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional efforts across Product Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to drive product changes from proposal through production readiness and cut-in. You’ll help ensure clear ownership, accurate data, aligned timelines, and smooth execution throughout the change management process.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented program manager with experience supporting hardware programs, manufacturing operations, or change control processes in fast-paced environments.
As a Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Operations, you'll:- Coordinate cross-functional change activities, ensuring alignment on scope, ownership, timelines, and risks.
- Prepare for decision-making forums by gathering inputs, documenting outcomes, and driving follow-through on action items.
- Maintain Jira workflows, boards, filters, and trackers to support visibility and execution across programs.
- Publish concise status updates and weekly program rollups for stakeholders.
- Partner with Supply Chain & Logistics teams to assess on-hand inventory, WIP, POs, lead times, alternates, and material exposure related to production cut-ins.
- Monitor readiness indicators such as validation status, quality gates, and work instruction completion, escalating blockers as needed.
- Maintain clear decision logs and change health reporting, including aging items and upcoming cut-ins.
- Drive continuous improvement of templates, workflows, handoffs, and change management processes to reduce operational friction.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience in hardware program management, manufacturing operations, or change control/NPI environments
- Proficiency with Jira, including boards, filters, and workflow management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of 3DX BOM navigation, including parts/revisions, effectivity, where-used analysis, and EBOM vs. MBOM concepts
- Understanding of supply chain fundamentals, including lead times, WIP, purchase orders, alternates/substitutions, and last-time-buy planning
- Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- This role requires safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 / F2413 standards

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
