You will be part of our Mobilinx project, playing a key role in driving its success and contributing to one of Canada’s most exciting infrastructure projects.

About the Job

We are hiring a Locates Manager to step into an existing on our Construction team on the Mobilinx project. This position reports to the Senior Superintendent.

What You Will Be Doing?

• Streamline project dedicated locate program by maintaining tracker and report system.
• Customize a KMZ maps and layouts and provide utility locate.
• Perform training sessions to Construction Teams and onboarding subs-contractor
• Secure and coordinate designated locate project service.
• Assist in Dedicated locate program procurement process and evaluate the process to ensure best practice as per site conditions.
• Develop Project wide I internal Safe DIG plan.
• Assist in permitting process and seek approval from utilities owners
• Setup series of training sessions and coordinate with Safety departments to explain the DIG safe steps to enhance the project wide safety program
• Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial and local laws, while adhering to OH&S rules and regulations.
• Create, manage and distribute documentation and correspondence
• Create locate packages
• Screen requests and identify issues to determine priority
• Schedule and dispatch Locators for utility locates
• Attend construction coordination meetings
• Compile and distribute various performance and productivity reports
• Data entry into various systems
• Clean up data entry to ensure accuracy
• Support the billing process to ensure accuracy
• Assists other staff in office duties as required
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

What We Are Looking For?

• University degree in civil engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
• P3 Project experience (Design-Build etc.) is an asset.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience with utility locates
• Communication – excellent ability to clearly and effectively communicate information and clarify requirements both orally and in writing
• Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment with ability to apply various client-specific business processes to individual service request situations
• Work with a sense of urgency by demonstrating the ability to shift priorities to accomplish objectives
• Effectively manage time to keep commitments to both internal and external clients
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (MS work, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task • Must be able to probe and gather detailed information from callers, assess issues accurately and assign level of priority
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience.
• High level of technical understanding.

Expected Compensation

Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $120,000.00 CAD - $140,000.00 CAD. The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependant on the specific project to which you are assigned.
