About Us:


A division of TFI International Inc., located in Mississauga, is currently recruiting for a Front Office Supervisor.


Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position is to oversee the front office staff at the Toronto Terminal. This team is responsible to provide operational support while ensuring the core duties are maintained, OS&D, Appointments and Customer Support. The candidate will have industry experience, preferably within a unionized environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of front office customer support personnel
  • Accomplish all tasks while working within the confines of the Move UP Union
  • Lead and inspire the team to achieve higher service levels and lower number of errors
  • Lead a team to resolve OS&D related challenges in an effort to reduce claims
  • Manage high profile customer relationships such, Lowes, Home Depot & Canadian Tire
  • Co-ordinate response and recovery for urgent and escalated customer service inquiries
  • Maintenance of terminal specific data in Oasis
  • Provide support for the various departments within the Toronto Terminal as needed
  • Improve appointment scheduling while minimizing the average number of storage days
  • Lead company-wide weekly meetings to curtail the number of OS&Ds in the system
  • Manage late pickup and exception coding for inbound volumes for the dock operation
  • Review all missed pickups and identify areas of improvement
  • Actively work on the undelivered PROs and address root cause
  • Manage service-related challenges with Interline Carriers
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications include:


  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a transportation environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proven ability to multi-task and in a high stress environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Office, & AS400
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
