Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
The primary operating objective of the Investor Relations (IR) team is to effectively educate and update investors and sell-side analysts about the company. As Director in IR, you will collaborate with and support the Deputy SVP, Finance and Chief Investor Relations Officer in developing and executing Intact’s IR strategy.
In this critical role, you will foster strong relationships with both our key internal and external stakeholders. You will also act as a trusted resource by providing market intelligence on investor-related matters to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
The successful candidate will join an award-winning Investor Relations program and work with a best-in-class senior management team.
What you’ll do here:
Financial reporting – Assist in the development of key messages for external communication related to Intact’s public financial performance including:
Drafting quarterly press releases as well as the Management Discussion & Analysis.
Prepare presentation slides related to Intact’s financial performance; and
Prepare scripts and Q&A for quarterly earnings calls, webcasts and other investor events
Develop strong relationships with the investment community – Be a key contributor in:
Maintaining strong relationships with investors and sell-side analysts and help identify potential new shareholders;
Assisting senior management prepare for meetings and conferences with the investment community (Q&A, key messages, etc.); and
Periodically join senior management for meetings and conferences with the investment community.
Provide value-added insights to senior management and internal stakeholders – Work with the IR Team to:
- Provide market intelligence on macro, buy-side and sell-side views impacting our share price to senior management and the Board;
- Compilation of consensus sell-side forecasts, including analysis of consensus forecasts to identify the effectiveness of our messaging to the investment community; and
- Monitor P&C Insurance peers and broader industry trends to assess their potential impact to our Company.
What you bring:
Minimum 8-years experience in Investment/Portfolio Management; Sell-Side (e.g., Research, Sales, Trading, Investment banking); and/or Senior Investor Relations experience.
Minimum 5-years leading and managing high-performing teams.
Professional designation such as CPA or CFA, and/or Graduate degree (e.g. MBA) is preferred.
Strong financial aptitude with excellent research and analytical skills; detailed oriented; self-starter with good attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the P&C Insurance sector.
Requirements:
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis.
Expertise in the use of PowerPoint to create effective presentations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
