Job description

Seaspan employees are goal-driven and thrive in a high-performance culture. Our integrated business model, with over 25 years of fleet life-cycle management expertise, provides the world’s major shipping companies with long-term leases on large, modern and technologically advanced vessels, combined with industry-leading ship management services. As owner and operator of the vessels, we provide skilled officers and crews dedicated to the safe, reliable, and economical operation of our fleet. Seaspan's fleet has evolved over time to meet the varying needs of our customer base. We own vessels in a wide range of sizes, from 2,500 TEU to 24,000 TEU. Our main operating offices are located in Singapore, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Mumbai.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Project Coordinator for a 6-month temporary contract role. This position is designed to support our core technical, analytical, and operational teams by offloading daily project administration, tracking, and documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure our ongoing data and technology initiatives stay on schedule, allowing senior specialists to focus on high-level execution and strategic development.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Tracking & Administration

  • Maintain and update project schedules, task lists, and timelines using standard project management tools.
  • Track action items, milestones, and deliverables across multiple ongoing technical initiatives.
  • Schedule and coordinate cross-functional team meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute clear, actionable meeting minutes.
  • Assist in drafting, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, technical requirements, and standard operating procedures.

2. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as a central point of contact for routine project communications.
  • Follow up with external vendors and third-party partners to ensure timely delivery of project components, software updates, or required documentation.
  • Assist the Business Analyst in tracking requirements and gathering necessary inputs from various internal stakeholders.

3. Reporting & Operational Support

  • Consolidate updates from various team members to prepare weekly project status reports for management review.
  • Monitor shared project inboxes or ticketing systems, routing inquiries to the appropriate technical personnel.
  • Assist with routine data entry, document control, and basic administrative tasks required to keep operational workflows moving efficiently

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, or a similar operational support role.
  • Experience working alongside technical teams (e.g., data analytics, software development, or engineering) is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tracking documents and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex meetings into clear action items.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to chase down updates without requiring heavy supervision.

Compensation and Benefits Package:

Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.

Seaspan Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected Veteran status. We thank all applicants in advance. If your application is shortlisted to be included in the interview process, one of our team will be in contact with you.
