ADGA is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the development and implementation of a new Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability. This is a high-impact role supporting a new capability for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). You will help shape operational and technical requirements, support the analysis of the business cases and business processes for C-UAS capability development in accordance with DND practices.
Tasks will include but not limited to:
Lead and support the identification and documentation of business needs, business rules, governance and capability coordination through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis;
Collaborate with project team to ensure operational requirements, use cases, user-needs, constraints, and capability benefits are documented;
Lead and support the preparation of business case and sustainment business case documentation, requirements documents, and use-cases;
Provide recommendations to management on business solutions and process improvements; and
Participate in meetings and briefings as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related engineering or business discipline focused on process management
Familiarity with aviation, uncrewed systems, and robotics concepts to support informed requirements analysis, use case development, and capability benefit documentation will be considered a strong asset
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within government, defence, or large-scale, complex programs, with experience in:
- Business Process Management (BPM) across the full lifecycle, including discovery, modeling, analysis, measurement, improvement, optimization, and automation
- Business Process Mapping, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and structured documentation of current and future-state processes
- Process Digitization, with experience transforming legacy, paper-based, or manual workflows into secure, IT-enabled digital processes that improve efficiency and enable automation
- Stakeholder Analysis & Engagement, with demonstrated skill in identifying objectives, scope, inputs/outputs, data requirements, actors, and operational contexts across diverse stakeholder groups
Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze, and document complex business and operational requirements
Proven experience developing business cases and supporting governance, approvals, and decision-making processes
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience facilitating interviews, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration
Familiarity with project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
Additional Information
Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.
The posted salary reflects an employee compensation model; consultant rates will be adjusted accordingly. Consultants will be required to hold Controlled Goods clearance and insurance.
