Overview:
In addition to operating equipment, the Manufacturing Associate level III (MA III) is principally involved in setting up machines tools, technical trainings, and working with specialists and programmers on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and other relevant technical documentation.
The job requires attention to detail and focus on safety, quality, and meeting work order requirements.
Hours of work:
Rotation Shift (two-week rotation):
Week 1 & 2 - Monday to Friday 7:00 - 15:30
Week 3 & 4 – Monday to Friday 15:00 – 23:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating multiple CNC machines - including Haas lathes, CNC grinders, vertical and horizontal CNC mills – in accordance with SOPs and drawings.
- Expert level troubleshooting of CNC machine process and root cause analysis.
- Trains new operators and provide support to MA2 operators.
- Updates SOP’s with Specialists and programmers.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Knowledge and Skills:
- High school diploma and/or machining trade education.
- 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in machine shop environment.
- Setting up CNC machines for mass production.
- Understanding manufacturing drawing; geometric and dimensional tolerances.
- Knowledge of metrology precision tools - CMM, micrometer, go/no go, sine bar.
- Demonstrated experience of using hand tools, manuals tasks and mechanical aptitude.
- Self-starter attitude with attention to detail, organized, and methodic.
- Able to work alone, and in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
- This work is conducted in a Machine shop environment
- Work involves occasional exposure to major disagreeable elements, low risk of injury/harm, more stringent safety measures may be needed
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand: use hands and fingers to handle or feel: reach with hands and arms: stoop or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
