Job description
Part-Time Nanny / Housekeeper Needed – Downtown Toronto We are a professional couple in our mid–late 30s with a happy, active 2-year-old daughter. We are looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced nanny/housekeeper to join our family. Our daughter recently started daycare, and our wonderful nanny—who has been with us since she was 3 months old—is moving on due to personal circumstances. We are now looking for someone new to support our family during this transition. Location: We are located at Blue Jays Way & Front Street, just a 10–15 minute walk from Union Station and St. Andrew Station, and steps from the King Street West streetcar. We live in a two-bedroom plus den condo with two bathrooms. Position Details: This is a live-out, part-time position beginning in end of May. Schedule: Monday to Thursday Start time around 1:00–2:00 PM (flexible) Work a few hours in the afternoon at our condo, followed by daycare pickup (walking distance; no car required) Care for our daughter at home while one parent works from home, until approximately 6:00–6:30 PM Responsibilities: Household Support (early afternoon): Housekeeping (dishes, tidying, sweeping, wiping counters/table, etc.) Laundry (wash dry fold put away) Meal prep/cooking Occasional errands (e.g. pick up groceries) Childcare (late afternoon/evening): Picking up our daughter from daycare Feeding, diapering/toilet training, and dressing as needed Engaging in play and age-appropriate activities Take her to playground/other activities as she becomes more comfortable with you Creating a safe, warm, and fun environment Requirements: Previous experience with infants/toddlers CPR certification Police background check Minimum of 3 references Compensation: We offer a hourly rate of $18–$22, depending on experience, and a warm, respectful family environment.
