T Truck Mechanic
Job Description
Our client inspects, diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul and service mechanical and electrical components. Mechanics participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with co-workers, various Departmental Managers and the Fleet Manager.
Location: Birchmount/Lawerence (Scarborough)
Dayshift: to hours per week (overtime after hours)
Payrate to start: per hour to per hour

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Completion of a Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities approved apprenticeship program – T or S license
• A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the trade
• Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
• Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty () pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder.
• Experience on the hydrovac trucks

• Engine repair and overhaul
• Diesel engine diagnostics
• Steering and suspension
• Air brake diagnostics and repair
• Ignition and electrical systems
• Automatic transmission
• Standard transmission
• AC, cooling and heating systems
• Drive train components
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance
• Welding; electrical and gas
• Trailer repair
• Excavation equipment repairs
• Crane and aerial devices
• Service calls
