Job description

Adecco is currently hiring an experienced Assistant Track Maintenance Supervisor to support railway operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in railway maintenance, construction, transportation, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will assist in leading track maintenance crews, overseeing inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of railway infrastructure. You will promote a strong safety culture, coordinate daily work activities, and support operational efficiency in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support track maintenance crews during inspection, repair, and maintenance activities.
· Inspect railway infrastructure and identify maintenance requirements.
· Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
· Promote compliance with railway safety standards, operating procedures, and regulations.
· Complete inspection reports, maintenance records, and related documentation.
· Support material coordination, equipment utilization, and inventory tracking.
· Maintain railway right-of-way and assist with emergency response activities as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous supervisory, foreperson, lead hand, or crew leadership experience.
· Experience in railway maintenance, construction, heavy civil, transportation, utilities, or infrastructure environments.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Valid driver's license.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
· Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
· Physically demanding role requiring lifting, walking, climbing, and manual labour.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
· Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and travel as required.
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
