Our client, the automotive and truck service industry, is seeking a Service Writer to join their team. As a Service Writer, you will be part of the Service Department supporting the shop team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Service Writer
Location: Delta, BC
Pay Range: $24-25/hour
Shift: Mon to Thurs, 6:00am to 4:00pm

What's the Job?
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing professional and timely service
- Create and manage work orders, repair orders, and billing/invoicing
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate scope of work and timely completion
- Procure parts and materials required for repairs and installations, working with vendors and suppliers
- Prepare cost estimates, track job progress, and communicate updates to customers
What's Needed?
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required)
- Proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume shop setting
- Experience in an automotive, truck, or mechanical service environment (preferred)
