We’re hiring two Senior Metal Polishers for a well-established precision fabrication facility with over 50 years in operation. This is a fast-paced, high-output environment known for consistent work, quality standards, and long-term stability.
This role is ideal for skilled polishers who take pride in high-quality finishes and want steady work within a structured manufacturing setting.
What We’re Looking For:
Extensive metal polishing and surface finishing experience (manufacturing/fabrication)
Ability to read drawings and deliver to tight quality/finish standards
Skilled with hand and power tools for stainless steel and/or aluminum finishing
Strong attention to detail with consistent, defect-free output meeting ISO/customer standards
Fast-paced production experience with strong PPE and safety awareness
Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Permanent Position
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC (transit accessible location)
Schedule:Monday to Friday
Shift Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM OR Afternoon 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Wage: $30.00 to $38:00
Prior experience in metal polishing, dressing, or surface finishing is required to be considered for an interview
A strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools is considered a strong asset
Key Requirement: you are required to be lean-shaven (goatee permitted) to ensure proper respirator fit; steel-toe boots are required
You are located in and legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities• Dress metal parts and remove surface imperfections to meet strict cosmetic standards.
• Use pneumatic air tools for extended periods for body working and surface prep.
• Perform precise grinding and sanding to achieve specific customer finish classes.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot dressing equipment and polishing tools.
• Identify and report equipment maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.
• Drive process improvements within the manufacturing & logistics workflow.
• Operate all equipment safely and strictly follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Handle high-value metal parts with care to avoid damage or personal injury.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including mandatory full-shift respirator use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free manufacturing & logistics workstation.
Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication and cosmetic grinding.
• Clean-shaven (goatee permitted) for mandatory full-shift respirator use.
• Steel-toe boots are required for all shifts on the production floor.
• Ability to lift and maneuver parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to stand for 8-hour shifts while operating heavy hand tools.
• Full availability for either Day (6 AM – 2 PM) or Afternoon (2 PM – 10 PM) shifts.
• Proven record of punctuality, reliability, and commitment to safety.
