What are your contributions to the team?
Develop and maintain applications for the Structure engineering community with the primary objective to improve engineering productivity and accelerate future program development.
Develop methodologies and tools to support technology maturity roadmaps.
Participate in the definition and optimization of the standardized structural stress tools.
Be involved with research and technology projects, collaborating with universities and partners.
Integrate third-party applications to increase the efficiency of developed tools.
Propose solutions to solve problems related to structural stress optimization.
Develop various GUI to improve end‑user experience.
Manage application complete product life cycle using versioning and deployment tools.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance of the developed solution with Bombardier policy, cybersecurity requirements, and IT directives.
How to thrive in this role?
You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or mechanical engineering.
You have significant experience in object‑oriented programming on various languages, including Python (Python 3.0 and over), C++, C#, ASP.NET & Visual Basic.
You have experience with SQL Server management.
You have significant experience developing applications in an integrated environment; Visual Studio experience is an asset.
You have good knowledge and experience in integrated application development management, including code branching & versioning (Git), testing and debugging, and CI/CD process; Azure DevOps experience is an asset.
You have good knowledge of optimization strategies and the ability to implement them in an engineering environment.
You have an interest in digital transformation and the opportunities newer tools can provide in an industrial context.
You have experience using Software Development Kits to integrate your applications into third‑party environments; Siemens NX open is an asset.
You have a good understanding of aircraft design and aircraft development process.
You have a strong work ethic and can work autonomously.
You have a strong drive for results and a pull for tackling complex problems.
You have excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; you approach problem solving with a holistic view.
You have strong communication skills and can tailor your communication easily.
