Job description
Join the Lester B. Pearson School Board as an Accounting Studies Teacher at the Pearson Adult and Career Centre. This role involves teaching bookkeeping and accounting concepts in daytime and evening classes.

The Continuing Education department is seeking part-time and full-time educators for its Accounting Studies program, which prepares students for entry-level roles. Ideal candidates will possess a DEP/Post Secondary Diploma and knowledge of bookkeeping duties along with proficiency in Excel and Sage 50. This position is essential in guiding adults through their journey into the accounting field.

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare engaging lesson plans for adult learners • Implement effective teaching methods suited for diverse students • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback • Organize and supervise class activities to enhance learning

Requirements: • DEP/Post Secondary Diploma in Accounting Studies • Proficient in Excel and Sage 50 • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience teaching business French is an asset
