The Opportunity We are currently seeking an
Engineer in Training
(EIT) to join our
Mines Technical Services Team
in
Thompson, Manitoba . This is a permanent position.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our 24‑Month Rolling Schedule in Deswik, setting production targets and scheduling conflicts. You will collaborate with the engineering team and cross‑functional partners across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Update stope designs using Deswik mine design software.
Update development designs for accessing the ore body and other infrastructure.
Assign backfill to stopes for forecasting consumables.
Link mine infrastructure to production.
Manage projects related to mine improvement and infrastructure replacement.
Communicate with operations, contractors, and construction crews to maintain scheduled timelines.

About You Education
Engineering degree in Mining is required.
Must be eligible to register as an Engineer in Training with the Professional Engineering Association in Manitoba.
Experience
2 years of underground mining experience is an asset, but EITs with less experience are encouraged to apply.
Skills
Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with 3D mine design software; Deswik preferred.
Strong problem‑solving, data analysis, and communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
