Job description
Join Jim Dent Construction as a Senior Estimator in Vancouver, BC, and leverage your heavy civil construction expertise. Collaborate with teams to ensure project proposals and tenders are accurately developed.

As a Senior Estimator at Jim Dent Construction, you'll play a vital role in the Business Development department. With over eight years of experience, you will understand heavy civil construction methods and contract structures. This position allows for practical estimating experience while providing you with the opportunity to manage smaller projects independently.

Key Responsibilities: • Analyze drawings and specifications for quantity takeoffs • Build project schedules based on construction methods • Collaborate effectively with Estimating and Operations teams • Understand typical contract models in heavy civil construction • Adapt quickly to changing work environments

Requirements: • 8+ years in heavy civil construction estimating • Familiarity with construction estimating software • Technical diploma or engineering degree preferred • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Project
