Job descriptionWe are supporting a leading commercial real estate owner and operator in their search for a Director, Property Management to provide senior leadership across a large mixed portfolio of office and retail assets in Toronto. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will be accountable for the overall operational, financial, and tenant experience performance of the portfolio, working in close partnership with Asset Management, Leasing, and Accounting to deliver on ownership objectives and drive long-term asset value.
What You'll Do
Provide senior leadership and accountability for the operational and financial performance of a large commercial portfolio spanning office and retail properties
Lead, coach, and develop a team of property management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on service excellence, professional growth, and succession planning
Oversee operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, and variance analysis in alignment with ownership objectives and long-term asset value
Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership and asset management, providing proactive and clear communication on operational performance, capital initiatives, and tenant relations
Cultivate and strengthen tenant relationships, driving satisfaction, retention, and long-term value creation across the portfolio
Partner with Leasing, Accounting, Legal, and Construction teams to support revenue objectives, capital expenditure execution, and governance requirements
Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, including procurement, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial real estate experience, including at least 5 years in a senior property management leadership role
Strong financial acumen including budget oversight, capital planning, and financial reporting
Deep knowledge of commercial lease structures, CAM reconciliations, and landlord-tenant relations across office and retail asset classes
Knowledge of local building codes, compliance regulations, and health and safety standards
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, RPA) and a degree Business Administration, or related field are an advantage
