Director of Information Technology (IT)
to unify technology, operations, and compliance while driving digital transformation and scalable growth across the organization. About the role
The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for leading and integrating enterprise-wide services that enable operational excellence, digital transformation, and scalable business operations across MDS Aero. This role goes beyond traditional IT leadership. It unifies technology & compliance enablement, facilities operations, enterprise systems, process automation, and AI strategy under one cohesive vision. You will ensure that MDS’s enterprise infrastructure — digital, operational, and governance — supports complex engineering projects, global customers, and long-term growth. What you’ll be doing
Enterprise Strategy & Integration
Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise services roadmap aligned with corporate growth and operational priorities. Integrate technology, facilities, automation, cybersecurity and data systems into a cohesive enterprise framework. Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Management to ensure systems and services enable efficient project delivery. Establish governance models, service standards, and performance metrics across enterprise functions. Enterprise Technology & Digital Enablement
Oversee global IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and data systems. Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms supporting engineering design, test operations, and corporate functions. Lead ERP optimization and integration of engineering and operational systems. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that improve productivity and competitive positioning. Process Excellence, Automation & AI
Drive enterprise-wide process automation initiatives to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency. Lead AI transformation initiatives aligned with business strategy and performance optimization. Promote data-driven decision-making through strong analytics and reporting frameworks. Facilities & Operational Services
Oversee office and facilities operations to ensure safe, efficient, and well-managed environments that support engineering and project teams. Align facilities planning with company growth and operational needs. Financial & Resource Management
Develop and manage the enterprise services budget, including capital investments, infrastructure planning, and workforce forecasting. Conduct feasibility and economic evaluations of systems, platforms, and service models. Ensure optimal allocation of resources across enterprise functions. People & Organizational Leadership
Lead and mentor a diverse, cross-functional leadership team. Build strong succession plans and develop future leaders within enterprise functions. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and service excellence. What Success Looks Like

15+ years of progressive leadership experience across IT, enterprise systems, or operational services. Minimum 5 years in a senior management or director-level role. Experience in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial project-based environments strongly preferred. Demonstrated success leading digital transformation, enterprise integration, and cross-functional teams. Experience with ERP systems, data governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and automation initiatives. Competencies
