Our Alberta client is looking for a high-impact SAP Infrastructure Architect for a critical 6-month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This is a high-visibility mission where you will take the lead on a major rescue and reform project, modernizing a legacy SAP environment and shaping the long-term enterprise strategy. Responsibilities• Design and execute a migration path for SAP workloads from Windows to an optimized Linux environment.
• Audit the current SAP ECC landscape to identify and resolve critical security and functional gaps.
• Oversee the implementation of multiple missed patching cycles to restore system integrity.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis to determine the viability of S/4HANA versus alternative ERP solutions.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to the executive team for all infrastructure roadmap decisions.
• Define technical requirements and provide direction for incoming Basis and ABAP resources.
• Identify and manage risks within the current environment to ensure continuous business operations.
Qualifications• Extensive background in SAP Basis and Infrastructure Architecture within ECC environments.
• Proven experience leading successful operating system and database migrations for SAP.
• Deep technical knowledge of SAP maintenance tools including SUM and Maintenance Planner.
• Broad understanding of other Tier 1 ERP platforms to provide objective strategic recommendations.
• Background in lead architect roles with experience advising C-suite stakeholders on technology shifts.
