Job description
Like a sports team, every role contributes to the success of the company. The yard clerk is a key support for all upcoming projects! Their warm welcome, attentive listening, and customer service make a real difference for our clients. Job Summary The position holder welcomes and efficiently responds to customer needs in the lumber yard in a personalized and courteous manner. They verify the accuracy of orders and handle complaints and returns. They receive merchandise from various suppliers using a forklift. They restock shelves, manage inventory, and monitor for damages. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the yard by keeping service areas clear of debris, waste, and snow, and by adhering to health and safety standards and procedures. Desired Profil Skills Be professional and have good interpersonal skills; Be a good communicator; Strong ability to collaborate and work in a team; Strong customer service orientation; Commitment mindset and focus on achieving results; Ability to adapt in a changing environment; Caring and professional approach. Knowledge and training requirements Knowledge of building materials is an asset; Hold a forklift operator's license and propane card, an asset; Hold a Class G driver's license, an asset; Have a good command of the English language, both oral and written.
