Job description
Part-Time Mother’s Helper (Afternoons / Early Evenings) We’re a busy, warm family looking for a part-time mother’s helper to join us a couple of times a week, with additional support needed when my husband travels for work. Typical hours would be in the late afternoon/early evening (approximately 4:00–7:00 PM). We have two energetic, fun-loving boys (ages 1 and 3 years, 2 months) who thrive with someone engaging, playful, and attentive. The right fit is someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with kids and can jump into their world—whether that’s playing games, being active, or helping keep them happily occupied. What we’re looking for: Someone who loves working with children and has a naturally engaging, positive personality Comfortable helping with light dinner prep and general support during the busy evening window CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Bonus if you have experience or interest in swimming, lifeguarding, or providing swim support, as we have a pool Comfortable around dogs — we have a very friendly, calm black lab named Loki Reliable, responsible, and able to step in confidently when an extra set of hands is needed What the role might include: Playing with and supervising the kids Helping keep routines on track during the evening transition Assisting with simple meal prep or tidying related to the kids Providing extra support during solo-parent evenings when my husband is away There may also be occasional opportunities for evening or weekend babysitting for someone interested in taking on additional hours. We’re looking for someone who will mesh well with our family dynamic—kind, proactive, and able to keep up with active kids while creating a fun and safe environment.
