This is an opportunity to drive meaningful change and help build a modern, scalable data environment.
In this role, you will:
- Define and execute corporate databases and data integration strategies.
- Oversee the planning, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise‑wide database technologies, including data warehousing, database management systems, middleware, and integration platforms.
- Serve as the technical authority for the data warehouse; ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to long‑term technology roadmaps and annual IT planning, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and operational priorities.
- Support annual IT planning by assessing technical feasibility and aligning initiatives with enterprise priorities.
- Coordinate complex system integration efforts across multiple platforms.
- Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and consultants.
- Manage and mentor a team of Data Integration specialists, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8–12 years of IT experience in a technical leadership role.
- 4–7 years of experience with database technologies or enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, integration, and database design.
- Understanding of large enterprise systems, IT governance, and solution architecture.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage external service providers.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
What you need to know:
Prior to the interview, Talent Acquisition will conduct a full employee general record review. This will include, but is not limited to: sick leave and attendance records, personnel file review and letters on file.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
