ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WORKER, FOOD SERVICE WORKER II, LAUNDRY WORKER II, FLOAT

Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker/Food Service Worker/Laundry Worker to fill a position at the Wrinch Memorial Hospital.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WORKER:
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility. Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

FOOD SERVICE WORKER 2:
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Northern Health (NH) Regional Policies and Processes, the NH Regional Food Safety Plan and the NH Regional Food Sanitation Plan, this position assists the Cooks, blending, grinding, slicing, preparing salads, vegetables, sandwiches, and portioning desserts, measuring and combining food and beverage ingredients. Sets up and portions, with accuracy, patient trays and / or resident meals including therapeutic diet items according to nutrition care plans. Check patient trays to ensure accuracy. Prepares items such as tea, coffee and toast. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and performs general cleaning. Serves staff meals and oversees the collection and receipt of cash for items purchased which may include punching meal tickets.

LAUNDRY WORKER 2:
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Regional Northern Health (NH) Policies and Processes, the Laundry Worker II performs a variety of duties for Laundry Services such as operating and loading/unloading designated equipment, and collecting, weighing, sorting, and preparing linens in accordance with established standards and required operational procedures. This position may also provide supervision to designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments and determining related training and orientation requirements.

Rate of pay for Environmental Services & Food Service Worker: $25.82. Rate of pay for Laundry Worker: $26.80

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 13:00, 06:00 to 14:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 17:00 to 21:00, 08:00 to 16:00, Rotating

Qualfications
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WORKER:
•Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

FOOD SERVICE WORKER 2:
• Grade 10 with one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

LAUNDRY WORKER 2:
• Grade 10, plus one (1) years’ recent related experience in a commercial or industrial laundry or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
