Opportunity to join an expanding global leader as the Manufacturing Engineer supporting the automated and manual assembly equipment in the production of high quality automotive components. Provide technical details, documentation, support, and guidance, by participating as a cross-functional team member to help resolve product assembly issues.
--- Create specifications, recommendations and designs for tools, fixtures, gages, equipment, and processes.
--- Help troubleshoot and improve equipment issues.
--- Specify gaging techniques.
--- Coordinate quality improvements within assembly.
--- Provide technical guidance and training to the assembly team.
--- Control budget and costs of assembly methods.
--- Work with product engineering, customers, and suppliers to develop prototype and production parts.
--- Develop layout and material flow plans.
--- Evaluate and update documents according to Process Change Requests.
--- Analyze Not Right First Time issues in the assembly process and develop countermeasures to correct discrepant levels.
--- Assist with APQP documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans)
--- BS Mechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years experience in assembly/ manufacturing environment - automotive, metalworking or related industry.
--- Experience with Torque, Press and Gaging equipment in daily production.
--- Experience with Error Proofing / Poka Yoke methods.
--- Demonstrate technical understanding of programming automated systems.
--- Skilled in CAD with the ability to learn and use new CAD programs. AutoCad and Pro-Engineer experience
--- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
