Job description
Join Dexcent Inc as a Mining Application Support Specialist in Fort McMurray, AB. Utilize your expertise in SQL and database administration while supporting mining applications.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT, along with 3-5 years of database administration experience. Candidates with mining industry backgrounds and knowledge of applications like Wenco or Komatsu will thrive. Your role will include managing SQL and Oracle databases, providing technical support, and ensuring robust cybersecurity practices.

Key Responsibilities: • Manage SQL and Oracle database performance and security • Develop and execute SQL queries and stored procedures • Administer user accounts for OT applications • Troubleshoot system issues in an operational technology environment • Extract and analyze data using Power BI and Excel

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT • 3-5 years of SQL and Oracle database experience • Experience in mining and related applications • Knowledge of cyber security practices • Strong data analysis skills with Excel
