The Opportunity
This is a high-impact Program Manager opportunity for someone who understands how transportation, technology, process, and client relationships come together in a modern 4PL environment.
The successful candidate will help manage global transportation programs across air, road, and ocean freight, with a focus on improving client satisfaction, strengthening process efficiency, and supporting scalable service delivery.
This role will appeal to someone who likes being close to the action. You will be involved in client-facing conversations, internal coordination, project delivery, process improvement, issue resolution, and financial tracking. It is well-suited to a program leader who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, while keeping people aligned and projects moving.
For someone with strong logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or technology-enabled service experience, this is a chance to take ownership of meaningful work in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Position Description
The Program Manager will oversee transportation-related programs and help ensure that services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with client expectations. This includes managing project documentation, supporting implementation activity, monitoring deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, and helping resolve issues before they slow progress.
A major part of the role involves acting as a key connection point between internal teams, external partners, carriers, customers, and other stakeholders involved in the transportation process. From booking through payment, the Program Manager will help ensure that workflows are clear, timelines are understood, and the right people are engaged at the right time.
The role also includes identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, optimize tools and processes, and contribute to customized supply chain solutions. The Program Manager – Freight Forwarding will be expected to lead change, communicate clearly, challenge processes when needed, and help transfer knowledge to internal teams so improvements are understood and adopted.
Financial and operational accountability are also important. This includes tracking project-related financials, monitoring budget versus actual resource usage, reporting on billings where applicable, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at a high standard of quality.
Experience
The ideal candidate will bring 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in program management, ideally connected to supply chain management, logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or technology-enabled service environments.
Experience managing projects from start to finish is important. This includes planning, documentation, stakeholder communication, change management, escalation, delivery tracking, and post-implementation support.
A background involving transportation optimization, international freight processes, client-facing solution development, or complex operational programs would be highly valuable.
