Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As an Application Engineer, you will be part of the platform team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Salesforce platform that supports our Guest Services and ReBIRD teams. In this role you will learn and/or use technologies such as Salesforce Service Cloud, GitHub, and Agentforce

Meet Your Future Team:

The Platform Engineering – Salesforce Technology team develops and maintains the foundational frameworks, guardrails, and best practices leveraged by product squads delivering business initiatives across Guest Services and After-Sales. Working within a cross-functional Agile model, the team helps ensure our Salesforce platform remains scalable, reliable, and consistent, enabling squads to build and deploy features that support seamless and engaging guest experiences.

If you were an Application Engineer Co-Op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Assisting with diagnosing and resolving bugs or defects to help maintain platform stability and functionality
  • Writing and maintaining unit tests with guidance from senior team members to support code quality and reliability
  • Providing regular progress updates to your manager and team members
  • Supporting user setup and configuration requests within the Salesforce Service Cloud platform
  • Collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional team members to design, build, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Participating in code reviews, applying feedback, and learning best practices for scalable and maintainable Salesforce development
  • Assisting in creating and updating technical documentation for implemented features, configurations, and support processes
  • Participating in Agile team ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Building autonomy over time by taking ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish with appropriate support and guidance
  • Learning and demonstrating the Arc’teryx Leadership Code, particularly Lead Self, through curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning

Here are some of the things you will learn by the end of your Co-Op placement:

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working within the Salesforce Core ecosystem, supporting the platform that enables our Guest Services and ReBIRD teams. You will apply established engineering standards and best practices while developing skills in configuration, custom development, technical troubleshooting, and platform support. You will contribute to shared platform frameworks and assets, collaborate with senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, and leave with a strong foundation in scalable Salesforce Core development and cross-functional product delivery.

Are you our next Application Engineer Co-Op Student?

  • You want to develop a solid understanding of core fundamentals in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • You are currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical program
  • You have a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • You have exposure to web development concepts, including HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript,
  • You are familiar with relational databases, data models, APIs, or system integrations
  • You are dedicated to advancing your skills and growing as an engineer in the Salesforce space

  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
