Job description
Family Profile: Active Single Dad of 8-Year-Old Twins Seeking Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant Location: Aurora / Newmarket, Ontario Children: 8-year-old twins (boy & girl) Schedule: Part-time (approx. 8–10 days per month, aligned with shared custody schedule) Start Date: Flexible / ASAP ⸻ About Us Hi — I’m a hands-on single dad to energetic, kind, and curious 8-year-old twins. We have a structured but fun household, and I’m looking for someone who can be a steady, positive presence during my parenting time. I share custody 50/50 (week-on, week-off), so support is only needed during my weeks — typically around 8–10 days per month. During the summer months, there may be additional hours as I’ll have the kids more consistently. I travel occasionally for work, so flexibility and reliability are important. The kids are bilingual (English/French), and while not required, it’s a bonus if you’re comfortable supporting that. ⸻ The Role This is a mix of childcare and light household support — more of a “family assistant” role than traditional babysitting. I’m looking for someone who can help keep both the kids and the household running smoothly. ⸻ Responsibilities May Include School pickup (e.g. Mondays or as needed) Babysitting a couple evenings per week Helping manage school and extracurricular schedules (activities, drop-offs, coordination) Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, organizing kids’ rooms) Grocery shopping and basic household errands Maintaining structure and routine for the kids Occasional additional support when I’m traveling Increased daytime support during summer months ⸻ Ideal Fit Dependable, calm, and highly organized Proactive and comfortable taking initiative Strong communicator Valid driver’s license required Enjoys engaging with active, curious kids ⸻ Additional Notes This is a flexible, part-time role that suits someone looking for consistent but not full-time hours.
