Lead and supervise all on-site E&I construction activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning support.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, promoting a zero-incident culture.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance with contract specifications.
Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure accurate execution.
Interface closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and maintain progress.
Monitor and report on daily progress, productivity, and site challenges to project leadership.
Support construction planning, including lookahead schedules and resource allocation.
Ensure quality control through inspections, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and turnover documentation.
Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are completed and tested per project requirements.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including client representatives and project management.
About You
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a Red Seal Journeyman with relevant experience.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in E&I construction within mining, minerals, or heavy industrial projects.
Proven experience working on EPC and EPCM project delivery models.
Strong background in:
Power distribution systems (MV/LV)
Instrumentation systems and control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS)
Cable installation, termination, and testing
Previous experience in a site-based leadership role (Supervisor or Superintendent level).
Solid understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning processes, and project lifecycle.
Strong leadership and team management skills in a multicultural, remote site environment.
Excellent understanding of HSE practices and commitment to safety leadership.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making under site conditions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of organization and ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to work in remote and challenging environments, including extreme weather conditions and rotational work schedules.
