Defence Construction Canada (DCC) invites you to consider joining our team. DCC is a dynamic and fast‑paced Crown corporation whose clients include the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated professionals to support the delivery of major capital projects in Halifax. We are currently recruiting for Team Leader, Construction Services positions to support the following high‑profile initiatives. Halifax Heating & Municipal Services Upgrades Project (HHMSU): A major infrastructure program focused on modernising and replacing ageing heating, electrical and municipal services at CFB Halifax. This is a multi‑year, high‑value capital project delivered using a Modified Design‑Build (MDB) approach. Health Services Centre and Transition Centre: Delivery of a modern, integrated Health Services and Transition Centre at CFB Halifax. This is a complex, multi‑year project that will be delivered using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model. This posting may also be used to staff similar positions in Halifax to support other large‑scale capital and base infrastructure projects and programmes delivered through various collaborative delivery models (e.g. IPD, MDB, DBB, CM, etc.). Key and Periodic Activities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all inclusive. Primary
Oversee a team managing construction, professional services and service contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and DCC contract management policies and processes. Solve complex problems within delegated authority. Facilitate contract‑related coordination and communications between stakeholders (e.g. contractors, consultants, Client‑Partners). Promote and manage business development opportunities. Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client‑Partners and/or stakeholders. Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client‑Partner expectations. Manage risk. Perform human resources functions (e.g. coach, supervise, mentor, plan and allocate resources, and manage performance). Other

As a condition of employment with DCC, a minimum reliability security status clearance is required and some roles may require secret security status clearance. DCC is responsible for the Personnel Security Clearance process. Typically to be eligible for a "Reliability" clearance, you must have five years of verifiable background information and to be eligible for a "Secret" clearance, you must have 10 years of verifiable background information. The process usually involves reference inquiries, verification of qualifications, criminal records checks, and credit checks (as required) and may require fingerprints.
