Job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced
AWS Data Architect
to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud‑based data architectures, data lakes, data warehouses, streaming platforms, and advanced analytics, along with the ability to translate business requirements into secure, high‑performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
end‑to‑end data architectures
on AWS, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics
Architect and optimize
data lakes and data warehouses
using services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation
Define data models and standards for
structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data
Build scalable
ETL/ELT pipelines
using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, or Apache Spark
Design and support
real‑time and batch data processing
using Kinesis, MSK, or similar streaming tools
Ensure solutions follow
AWS Well‑Architected Framework
best practices (security, performance, cost optimization, reliability)
Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to align architecture with business objectives
Implement
data governance, security, encryption, and IAM policies
Guide cloud cost optimization strategies and monitor performance
Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams
Support cloud migrations from on‑prem or other platforms to AWS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture
5+ years of hands‑on experience with
AWS cloud services
Strong expertise in:
Amazon S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena
EMR, Lambda, Step Functions
Kinesis / MSK (streaming)
Proficiency in
SQL
and one or more programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala)
