Director, AI Business Enablement (Full Time, Permanent)
As the Director, AI Business Enablement you will be responsible for enabling the effective, responsible, and value-driven adoption of Artificial Intelligence in support of our business. This role partners with business leaders to identify, shape, and validate AI opportunities, translating business needs into clear AI use cases and working closely with Technology to ensure solutions are feasible, prioritized, and deliver measurable value.
The Director will operate as an enabler, and will partner with our Canada Operations and Functional leaders to accelerate the business strategy using AI – this includes opportunity identification, business case development, prioritization, and value realization. Success in this role will be measured by value realization across the business, which will be achieved through influence, strong stakeholder relationships, and a deep understanding of both business outcomes and AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Canada Operations and Functional leaders to identify high value opportunities where AI can improve outcomes, efficiency, customer experience, or risk management
- Work with business leaders to unpack and shape AI business cases, clarifying the problem to solve, expected benefits, risks, and success measures before solutions are pursued
- Translate business needs into clear AI use cases and requirements, partnering with Technology, Data, and Architecture teams to prioritize, assess feasibility, and alignment to enterprise AI capabilities and standards
- Build AI literacy and proficiency across leadership teams by sharing insights, patterns, and practical examples of what is working, and what is not, across the organization
- Measure and track value realization from use cases
- Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and ethical standards
- Stay current on AI trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of AI capabilities and limitations (including generative AI, automation, analytics, and machine learning) and how they apply in regulated environments such as financial services or insurance
- Strong ability to bridge business strategy and technology, translating business problems into actionable AI opportunities and explaining AI concepts in clear, practical terms
- Demonstrated experience developing, assessing, and prioritizing business cases, including benefits realization and outcome measurement
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional outcomes across business and technology stakeholder
- Exceptional stakeholder leadership and partnership skills, with confidence engaging senior business, technology, risk, and compliance leaders
- Strong judgment and systems thinking, balancing innovation with risk, governance, and long-term sustainability
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for innovation, with a track record of challenging the status quo and embracing change in AI adoption
- Learning mindset with ability to experiment, embrace learnings, and pivot quickly
Base salary: $121,000 - $171,000 per year. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e., annual bonus, commission, etc.). Additional details about the total rewards program will be discussed during the recruitment process.
